Tilly Macalister-Smith
Writer
Tilly Macalister-Smith is a British writer and digital consultant based in New York, and is the editorial director and vice president of Christie’s. She writes editorially for various publications covering a broad range of disciplines, assessing how design shapes our present and future lives. The commonality that ties together her broad spectrum of work is design with one eye on the future, be that longevity over short-lived trends, consciously-made objects, or profiling individuals innovating for change. Little brings her greater pleasure than a good conversation and she has interviewed some of the great design legends of our time, from Sir David Adjaye to Lady Gaga, Samuel Ross, Pamela Shamshiri, Thomas Demand and Vincent Van Duysen.
