Tim Knox

Growing up in Nigeria and Fiji, Tim had a ‘love of old buildings and things formed on visits back to Britain as a boy’. Since then, he’s been director at Sir John Soane’s Museum, the Fitzwilliam and the Royal Collection – but he’s never lost that expeditioner’s excitement, as his trip to Wilton attests (October 2024 issue). ‘Imagine: there were sarcophagi in the builder’s rubble.
