A few years ago, Tom put down his pen to set up his own design studio – a leap of faith vindicated when one of his projects made the cover of House & Garden. ‘I like places that are offbeat,’ he says, ‘and in some way colourful.’ Yann Le Coadic’s Granada house, featured in the October 2023 issue, has these qualities in spades: ‘He’s taken this old, layered place and added his own character without deadening what was there before.’
